As a runner, there is one part of the body that should always be in the front your mind when it comes to your craft…..you’re feet aka pat & Charlie. If your feet don’t feel good or you are experiencing pain, there is a good bet that you are not going to perform as well during your runs. That being said, why not show your feet some serious love. I am always looking for happy feet, so when the opportunity was granted to me for a chance to test out OOFOS new OOMG Fibre Low, I put my best foot forward.
Why OOFOS you say? Well, they have a good track record and I already own a pair of slides. Let’s take a look at all the things that make OOFOS great and make your feet happy.
With the new OOMG Fibre Low, OOFOS is taking a crack at a more everyday shoe. All previous versions are of the more flip flop, slide type so not exactly fitting in the dress codes of most employers. The Fibre Low appears to take on this problem head-on. Currently they are a sleek black so easily can be passed as a casual/dress shoe in the workplace, but hiding inside is all kinds of happiness.
There is a science behind what makes OOFOS some comfortable, the answer lies within the OOfoam. Here are a few key stats:
-OOfoam recovery technology absorbs 37% more impact than other footwear foams. If you found a sale on something you wanted and it was 37% off, you would be excited right? That percentage is very significant when it comes to the feel of the shoe.
-The OOfoam has been proven to reduce stress on your body while walking, allowing you to recover faster after a workout and feel better all day. Most runners are in a state of some type of soreness after miles and want nothing more to do than eat and lay down. Slipping into the OOFOS after your room gives you a little more energy and relief, making it easier to finish up that Saturday or Sunday “to-do” list you were supposed to do after your long run
-The footbed design is also key. OOFOS footbed designs are designed to cradle your arches and move with your feet, allowing for a more natural feel through your gate cycle. You immediately feel the difference with your first step in a pair of OOFOS and your feet feel like they are been hugged by pillows.
OOFOS is also a company that gives back. As a matter of fact, 3% of all OFFOS.com sales goes to breast cancer research through Project Pink. This cause was born when the Director of Marketing was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2014. The OOFOS family rallied behind her and Project Pink was born. The contributions to Project Pink go directly towards critical work the Dana Farber Cancer Institute is doing to help increase the survival rate of women with breast cancer around the world. For an even bigger impact, you can purchase from the Project Pink collection and $10 will go towards Project Pink.
If you haven’t already figured it out, I would definitely recommend OOFOS for any runner or individual that performs a lot of tasks on their feet. Don’t worry if the Fibre Low is not your style, OFFOS has lots of different styles and I am certain one will be in your wheelhouse. Head over to OFFOS.com and get your feet a present that is sure to make them happy.
