Suns Out, Shades Out! Whenever Summer rolls, your shades becoming an essential component to any outfit, in additional to everyday running accessory. With that in mind, there was no way I would turn down helping Knockaround and their Summer Running Kick-off.

FEATURES

When the package arrived, I had not 1 but 2 pair of Knockaround Torrey Pines Sport shades. Both came equipped with their on soft protective pouch, to help keep those scratches at bay. Some of the key features of these amazing shades are:

• Polarized lenses
• Rubber nose pads
• Metal spring hinges
• UV400 protection
• FDA approved, impact resistant lenses

 

The rubber nose pads may not seem like a big deal but they make a big impact. The rubber nose pads ensure that whether you are running a mile or 20 miles, the shades maintain a high level of comfort and stay snug on your face(no bouncing). No need to worry about having that indention on your nose once you take them off, like some other shades. The metal spring hinges give the shades sturdy support and gives you the added comfort that these shades are made durable.

COLORS

I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to the color options for Knockarounds, because there are tons. The 2 colors I received were: Victory Lap and Clear Gray/Red Sunset. In addition, you have colors like Black Ocean, Pool Blue/Sunset, Desert and Battleship. There are at least 5 pages of color combinations, and if you still don’t like any of those….you can customize your own pair.

SUNNY DAYS
It’s spring time, so you can never have enough sunnies to protect your peepers. When the opportunity to test sunglass brand Knockaround’s newest product, Fast Lanes, I jumped at the chance. I have tested the Knockaround brand previously, and came away impressed. I was anxious to see if Knockaround could catch “sun in a bottle” twice.

ENTER THE FAST LANES
How are fast lanes different from the other Knockaround sunglasses?
-clean-cut, rectangular lenses
-available in wide range of classis and vibrant colors
-designed to look great on medium and larger face shapes
-FDA-approved; impact-resistant lenses with full UV400 protection
-embedded “K” logos on the arms 

STYLE 
The color I received was the Grey Monochrome w/ Smoke lenses. To be honest, I was not sure these sunglasses would work out for me. If you look in my description above, you see mention that Fast Lanes were designed to look great on medium and larger face shapes. I personally think my face is on the smaller size, so not sure how they would look on me. Turns out I was worrying for nothing because the Fast Lanes look pretty snazzy on me. I think the slightly larger lenses, are more stylish for casual wear. My Knockarounds are now my goto shades when I am driving.

DURABILITY
Fast Lanes are being marketed as “durable and strong enough to stand up to your fast-paced lifestyle”, so you know I had to test that out. I let my little one hold on to them for about an hour. They were dropped, thrown, grabbed, etc but they held up. I will agree, they are durable. 

PRICE

Can anyone truly have enough pairs of good shades? I believe no, so when given the opportunity to test Knockaround Premium Polarized Shades, I jumped at the chance. I honestly had never heard of Knockaround before, but I was willing to give them a chance.

HISTORY

Knockaround was founded in 2005 by Adam “Ace” Moyer.  These shades have been featured in a number of media outlets, like: GQ, Hypebeast, US Weekly, Cosmopolitan, and the Today Show. Everyday more and more people are seen sporting a pair of Knockaround sunglasses, even celebrities like: Snoop Dogg, Natalie Portman, Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Alba, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashton Kutcher. Hey, if they are good enough for Snoop, I can certainly rock em. Lol

Packaging

The shades arrived in a nice little clear plastic branded box, inside are the shades and nice cloth pouch.

Durability

How would these beauty hold up? Turns out they held up pretty well. I wore them on several runs and I never had any trouble with them bouncing during the running motion. I dropped them purposely a few times just to see if they would break, not even a scratch.

Style

Style is an understatement when it comes to Knockaround Premium Polarized shades. They have tons and tons of color combinations, from colored frames to color lenses. There is bound to be a color combination that fits the bill, if not, Knockaround gives you the option of customizing your own pair.

Price

What would you expect to pay for a pair of stylish sunglasses? $50? $100. Nope, Knockaround Shades run about $15. Yes, only $15! You can get you several pair and coordinate with your running gear or outfits.

Recommendation
